DU Teachers Begin Strike Seeking Recruitments
The teachers of Delhi University, led by the Delhi University Teachers Association, have begun a two-day strike, demanding the creation of more posts. The MHRD has decided to implement reservation for economically weaker sections (EWS) from the 2019 academic session. Delhi University has increased the present strength by 25 per cent to ensure that students from unreserved categories remain unaffected. But it has not increased the strength of the teachers. In this context, DUTA staged a massive protest in front of Arts Faculty, Delhi University, demanding the sanctioning of new posts.
