Indian contributions to science are well known and Indians do not need fake claims or imaginary expertise to feel proud. Myths and legends cannot be taken as proof, and knowledge in complex subjects like aviation would surely also have left other evidence. If mythical imaginings are equated with evidence-based science, then science itself is being seriously undermined in favour of faith and beliefs.
