Employees from public banks and insurance companies have collected in front of the parliament to protest Modi led BJP govt’s attempts to privatise their sectors on the second day of the mahapadav (mass sit-in). They want to bring attention to the contributions of their work to the country’s economy, and the govt’s refusal to employ new people despite the lakhs of posts lying vacant in banks.
