The All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) stands at the forefront of resisting the threats facing the banking sector. Through strike action and demonstrations it collectively raises the voices of the bank officers to the management and to the government. The seed of the bank officers’ union was sown in the 1960s when the officers’, who were a highly exploited lot at the time, slowly began to understand the bargaining power that trade unions lend to workers.
