Kisan Mukti March Is Not the Culmination, But a Beginning: P. Sainath
Thousands of farmers will be marching on the streets of Delhi again, on November 29-30. It will be along the lines of the Kisan Long March we saw in Maharashtra. P. Sainath, the founder-editor of People's Archive of Rural India (PARI) talks to Newsclick about the importance of farmers coming together in Delhi, and the empathy that the middle class will feel, as they will be witness to the farmers’ plight. He says that this march will broaden the spectrum to bring together the middle class, the working class and people who do not take part in rallies or socio-political meetings.
