The Wire had recently reported that Union Minister of Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal had sold the entire stock of his privately held company at nearly 1,000 times the face value in an undisclosed deal, after he joined Modi's cabinet. Goyal is the recent addition to the list of people who might have benefitted from these kind of sweetheart deals during Modi regime. Mehul Choksi, Nirav modi and Chanda Kochhar feature in this list as well. Against this backdrop, it looks like PM Modi has failed in keeping his promise: "na khaoonga, na khaane doonga (I will neither indulge in corruption, nor will let others do it)".
