Bhagavad Gita in Anna University: What Do Students Have to Say?
The Anna University in Chennai has included Hindu scriptures like Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Vedas as subjects for the engineering graduates in its new regulation from the academic year 2019-20. Such a move has come for the first time in 50 years of the university's history. Several political parties, academicians and students’ organisations have condemned this move, saying that it goes against the secular principles.
