Human rights activist Harsh Mander exposes the lies told by Home Minister Amit Shah on detention centres in an interview given to ANI. As the Special Monitor for the National Human Rights Commission, Mander had visited two of the six detention camps in Assam in 2018 and describes the horrific living conditions in the detention centres as "worse than hell" on earth.
Ten more detention centres are being built in Assam and there is evidence of such centres in Maharashtra and Karnataka too.
