G N Saibaba: ‘A Warrior for Social Justice, Human Rights’
On October 21, 2024, the National Platform for the Rights of the Disable (NPRD) held a memorial meeting of Prof G N Saibaba, a crusader for social justice and human rights. A host of social and political activists, academics and students recalled the 90% disabled professor’s immense struggles and contribution to the cause of civil rights, especially of the marginalised sections, especially the right to education. They read out his poems that “inspired” them to carry on his struggles against injustice, despite facing immense odds. A Newsclick report.
